FIELD NOTES

Field Notes ist ein zweisprachiges Magazin, publiziert von dem Frankfurter Label Gruenrekorder, herausgegeben von Daniel Knef und Lasse-Marc Riek. Allgemein formuliert, beschäftigt sich das Magazin mit dem Phänomen Geräusch aus den unterschiedlichsten Perspektiven: Kunst- und Kulturschaffende, Wissenschaftler und Klangforscher tragen zu Field Notes durch Ihre Essays, Interviews, Reiseberichte, Anekdoten, Notizen und Bildreihen bei.

Hier kann man die ersten beiden Ausgaben mit Titel "Hören, Dokumentieren" (Pt.2) und "Texte zum Geräusch" (Pt.1) herunterladen und dann weiter empfehlen.

I added two new recordings to my field-recordings blog BikeMike!

One recording was done on the way to the Kleiner Schönberg next to the Traunstein in Upper Austria.
The second was recorded on a trainride from Dresden to Nürnberg, Germany. The train has the beautiful name Sachsen - Franken Express and rides through a great landscape.

Voderer Langbathsee: A very cold day on the Langbathsee near Ebensee

I added three new field-recordings to BikeMike.

Two recordings have been done this August in Jomsom, Lower Mustang and Pokhara, Nepal. One recording is from the 28th of December from the Langbath-Seen near Ebensee, Austria.

Nodar, Portugal: Rio Paiva and Nodar

First info on NOGS

NOGS means Nodar Guest Studio. Binauralmedia, an art-organisation with focus on soundart and visual art run a beautiful residency program in the rural area of San Pedro de Sul in Portugal. The house is located in Nodar near the beautiful Rio Paiva embedded in a charming landscape.

Following artists take part at the October 2008 call: Andrea Brandão (P), Arnold "Noid" Haberl (A), Duncan Whitley (UK) and me, Wolfgang Dorninger (A).

Columbia Records, home of many records I love (mainly on vinyl from the 60ies - 80ies) added Google Ads to their homepage. Strange, isn't it?
Comlumbia also uses YouTube to promote some of their bands, but only some. The so called star-bands are not available. Strange policy.
