Ars Electronica: Next Sex On Ice

Opening party with artistic contributions by students of the University Linz of Art and Design (Experimentelle) in the Eishalle Linz.

English: The motto 'Next Sex - Sex in the Age of its Procreative Superfluousness' will be subjected to special artistic treatment and a comedic once-over. Ice, a critically important medium for the preservation of reproductive agents, is the essential element characterizing the opening party's venue. The 'Next Sex On Ice' revue presents 'optimized' athletic bodies, lust-enhancing refreshments and body-stimulating music. Performances, video screenings and slide installations focus on the festival theme.

Deutsch: Das Motto 'Next Sex - Sex im Zeitalter seiner reproduktionstechnischen Überflüssigkeit' wird künstlerischen Positionen ausgesetzt, aber auch lustvoll konterkariert. Eis, ein wesentlicher Speicher zur Konservierung von Fortpflanzungsträgern, prägt den Ort der Eröffnungsparty. Die Revue 'Next Sex On Ice' präsentiert 'optimierte' Sportkörper, luststeigernde Speisen und körperstimulierende Musik. Performances, Videoscreenings und Diainstallationen stellen sich dem Thema.
