"8K=8K+-(G)<>(A)<>(N)" ist ein Remix-Konzert basierend auf der CD „8K“ von Dorninger (base records). „8K“ (tags: Techno, IDM, Breaks) ist der Urzustand, das Material das Live klar definierten Bearbeitungs-Prozessen unterworfen wird. G (granulare/digitale Bearbeitung), A (analoge Traktierung mittels Dubplates) & N (mittels tubeplug über das Internet). Die Bearbeitungs-Prozesse sind mit G, A & N klar definiert, offen hingegen ist Auswahl, Eingriff und Partizipation. 8K spannt einen sehr breiten Bogen zwischen Schärfe und Unschärfe, zwischen Original und Zitat, zwischen Digital und Analog, zwischen Egotrip und collective composition, zwischen live und Archiv, Echtzeit und Verzögerung. Die Aufführungen werden mitgeschnitten und online gestellt, damit die Prozesshaftigkeit über einen längeren Zeitraum dokumentiert wird.

"8K=8K+-(G)<>(A)<>(N)" is a remix concert based on the CD “8K” by Dorninger (base records). “8K” (tags: Techno, IDM, Breaks) is the original state, the material that undergoes live, clearly defined manipulation processes: G (granular/digital processing), A (analog manipulation using dubplates) & N (via the Internet using tubePlug). The treatment processes are clearly defined with G, A & N, but what is completely open are the selection, the intervention and participation. 8K arches broadly between sharp focus and blur, original and quotation, digital and analog, ego trip and collective composition, live and archive, real time and delay. The performances are recorded and placed online, so that the processual nature is documented over a longer period of time.

1.7.2008 - Dom im Berg, Graz
Only (N) and (G) part was performed over the net. Werner Jauk was in Graz at lecture, symposium, performance-line "Der musikalisierte Alltag der digital Culture", Marcus Obst in Crottendorf (Germany), Richard Eigner in Leonding near Linz and Wolfgang Dorninger in Linz. We played three shows, but only two of them had been recorded.

The (N) could not happen, because the internet-connection of Volker Kagerer (guitar) did not work properly. But Volker will join in the next time. For sure!
